about me

Training and clinical practice

I completed my undergraduate medical training in Lodz, Poland. I have over 15 years of experience in medicine and cardiology in the UK, where I moved after obtaining the medical degree in 2006. I completed the specialist Cardiology Training in North-East London, and I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in 2020.

I have robust research experience. I obtained a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences from the Queen Mary University of London in 2017. During my PhD, which focused on a rare heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy), I worked in London and the National Institutes of Health in the United States. I co-authored over 35 scientific articles in cardiology and cardiovascular sciences.

I have a particular interest in healthcare management, quality improvement and clinical governance. In 2017, I secured a prestigious Darzi Fellowship, during which I was working on improving heart failure services in East London. The European Society of Cardiology recently awarded me a grant to complete a master's degree in Health Economics at the London School of Economics.

I have established innovative services at my base hospital. I continue active participation in clinical research, quality and safety improvement and clinical governance.

I am committed to treating my patients as I would treat my family. My specialised set of skills, solid clinical training and multidisciplinary approach enable me to treat the most complex cases of heart diseases.
